How to say "I'm on my way" in Korean
The natural way Koreans say "I'm on my way" — with the polite form, close alternatives, and audio for every line.
가는 중이야
ganeun jung-iya
Literally: I am in the middle of going.
When to use it
The 는 중 pattern means in the middle of doing. Drop any verb into it and you have a progressive - useful for every I'm currently ___ message you send.
Polite form
- 가는 중이에요ganeun jung-ieyoUse this with strangers, anyone older than you, and at work.
Other ways to say it
- 거의 다 왔어geoui da wasseo= I'm almost thereLiterally I have almost all come. What people actually text.
- 먹는 중이야meongneun jung-iya= I'm eating right nowSame 는 중 pattern with a different verb.
